As one of Amazon's most important markets, Germany has lived up to expectations. According to Amazon's latest "2023 Small and Medium-Sized Business Report," German SMEs on Amazon saw a 10% year-on-year increase in export sales, reaching a new record of €5.5 billion in total. Meanwhile, the number of SMEs in Germany remained around 47,500, but the number of jobs created by these businesses increased from 160,000 to 170,000.

The report also highlights that over 80% of German SME sellers engage in international sales on Amazon. In 2023, these sellers sold over 750 million products, averaging more than 1,400 products sold per minute. During July's Prime Day, German SMEs sold millions of items within 48 hours, demonstrating the significant influence of German sellers in the European market.

Through the Amazon platform, German SMEs not only have opportunities for profit but also contribute to local job creation. Markus Schöberl, Director of Seller Services at Amazon Germany, stated, "Exporting through Amazon is the simplest growth opportunity for German SMEs."

Of course, German sellers also contribute positively to Amazon. According to Amazon's 2023 annual report, the company achieved €34 billion in revenue in Germany, which includes Prime membership fees, cloud services, marketing income, and other revenues, making a substantial contribution to the overall growth of the platform.
